Essay Contest Winner Receives Her Check

Amethyst Gefre, a 2009 graduate from Stillwater Area High School returned to the Club Tuesday morning for a special presentation.  Representatives from District 5960 and the Center for Ethical Business Cultures presented Amethyst with a check for $500 for her third place winning essay.

Representing the District was District Ethics Chair, Phil McMonagle, Cathy Smith and Dave Schaefer.  From the Center for Ethical Business Cultures was Terri Hastings.

Amethyst’s essay, “Free ... or Stolen?,” tied for third among 145 entries from 28 high schools.  Click here to read Amethyst's essay.
