District Fast For Hope Workshop with Elena Hendricks
  • 5:30pm - 8:30pm, April 13th, 2010
  • Sustainable Community Development – What does that mean for me… for my Rotary Club…and, for the World?” Elena Hendricks, from our community-based non-profit partner AKF in Nicaragua, will be here conducting the workshop. For those of you who have heard Elena before, you know that she is an inspiring speaker and engaging teacher.
  • Location: Family Means

Dinner will be provided and $10.00 will be collected at the door to cover the cost of the meal.

At this interactive workshop you will learn about:

  • Listening to your target market
  • Developing stronger relationships within community groups
  • Concepts of the Fast For Hope Initiative
  • Processes of sustainable development
  • How to engage your community in your Rotary Club vision
  • Being part of a ground-breaking international initiative.

…AND, you will expand your vocabulary while fulfilling a training requirement to participate in a District-5960 Nicaraguan Cultural Exchange or Fast For Hope Delegation.  CLICK HERE to find out more about the 2010 delegations in May and October.

Other things to know about this workshop:

  • This workshop is open to all and is not limited to Rotarians
  • All ages are welcome
  • The fee covers the meal - all other expenses are covered by FFH funds, including the speaker and workshop materials
